Episode 041: Interview with Tina Margareta Nilssen
This month we interviewed Tina Margareta Nilssen. She is an incredible pianist and the founder of Timani. Bio:
Tina Margareta Nilssen is the author of “Unleashing the potential of the musician’s body” and founder of Musicians’ Health and Movement Institute in Oslo, Norway.
Tina has through years of educations and teaching experience created Timani, an approach to playing and singing which builds a deep understanding of the body to support musical technique and performance. Timani is taught by Timani teachers in 15 countries to musicians at every level. It can be learned both privately and in music institutions such as universities, orchestras, and music schools.
As a classical pianist, Tina has toured in Europe and the USA, and released four critically-acclaimed solo and duo recordings. Besides her performing commitments, she teaches Timani regularly at The Norwegian Academy of Music, at Musik Akademie Basel and at other institutions around the world.
